Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Shop Foreman to lead operations in a high-volume job shop. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience managing shop floor activities, a deep understanding of CNC programming, proficiency in Fusion 360, and knowledge of ISO 9001 standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to quality, and the ability to drive production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Shop Operations: Manage daily activities, ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met.
- CNC Programming & Setup: Utilize CNC programming expertise to set up and optimize machines, including mills and lathes.
- Fusion 360 Usage: Use Fusion 360 for design, modeling, and CNC programming.
- ISO Compliance: Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 standards for quality and process control.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor shop staff, conducting training, performance reviews, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality output.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee maintenance of CNC machinery and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
- Production Planning: Collaborate with production teams to manage schedules and ensure timely job completion.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Experience: 10+ years in a high-volume job shop, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- CNC Programming: Extensive experience with CNC programming and setups.
- Software: Proficient in Fusion 360 for design and CNC programming.
- ISO Knowledge: Strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and drive performance.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, onsite in a fast-paced environment.
- Occasional overtime required.
